
Generally a watercolourist,
Teresa has studied under several well known artists, such
as: Harry Heine, Alan W.Edwards, Beau Poesiat, Frank Molnar,
Lionel Thomas and
Alan Wylie.
Teresa L'Hirondelle, at
10 years old, was enrolled in Saturday classes at Beaux Art
Studio in West Vancouver, a studio that was shared with the
Canadian Artist Robert E. Wood. At 14, she attended the
Vancouver School of Art. She
continued
her studies in visual Art at UBC and obtained a
diploma in
the two year Graphic Art program at Capilano College.
In 1982 she exhibited at
the FCA Gallery and later became an active member. In 1994
she had her first "solo show" at the Silk
Purse in West Vancouver. She sold eight watercolour paintings on
opening night.
Teresa has had numerous art exhibitions since.
In 1995 she received the "Judy Dennis Emerging Artist Award".
In 2006 she became a permanent resident of Royston, BC.
